Calibishie is the touristic centre of Dominica's north coast. However, the village is touristic only in the Dominican sense of the word. There are some hotels, guesthouses and restaurants in the village and in its vicinity but the village is nevertheless quiet and far from being crowded by tourists.
The beach of Calibishie is more protected than most other beaches on the Atlantic coast of Dominica. That due to a coral reef which is situated in front of the village in the sea.
Calibishie happened to be on our way several times. Hence, the pictures at this page are taken on three separate visits to the village.
