Guadeloupe 2007
Mari and I, we made a honeymoon trip to the islands of Guadeloupe and Dominica in November and December, 2007. We spent there one month out of which one week in Guadeloupe and the rest in Dominica. We also visited the Saints (Les Saintes) archipelago between the two.
I had visited both islands twice before and was already wishing to go there again. Mari, on the other hand, had heard so many stories from me that she wanted to see the islands herself. The choice was not a bad at all, and we had a really nice month in the Caribbean.
We bought flights from Paris to Guadeloupe and back from Air Caraïbes and got them in quite a reasonable price. We didn't book any accommodation beforehand but stayed mostly in small hotels, guesthouses and cottages (gîtes). Part of those I already knew from my previous visits to the islands.
We also managed to arrange a couple of nights via Hospitality Club accommodation network.
