We returned from Sanahin back to Alaverdi via the ropeway. The scenery was fantastic even though the town itself cannot be said too pretty.
Alaverdi is a mining and industrial town. Apart from the mountains and from Debed river canyon its landscape is dominated by the big copper factory which is located there.
We took a bus from Alaverdi bus station to Vanadzor and from there further to the city of Dilijan.
