Vardenis

Vardenis, earlier Basargechar and even earlier Vasakashen, is a small town in the Gegharkunik province (marz) of Armenia. It is located few kilometres inland from the southeast corner of Lake Sevan, next to the Vardenis Mountain Range.

Our visit to Vardenis was an accident. We were going to nearby town of Martuni but didn't see it in the full minibus and were not able to communicate it to the driver. Hence we drove by and ended up in Vardenis.

We didn't spend time in Vardenis. I just took few photos of the centre before we took a minibus to Martuni.
