October 2005 - Through Poland by car with photos from Kielce, Bartek tree, Warsaw and Serock.

Kielce

Our timetable for the return voyage was tight and that was the case also in Poland. We saw Cracow only through the windows as we drove through the city to take Hanne from the Railway Station.

It was already Friday when we arrived in Kielce. Nevertheless, our Hospitality Club host Marta came with her father to the city centre to meet us. We followed them to the small village outside the city where they were living.

Bartek Tree

Close to the village is the most famous tree of Poland, Dib Bartek. Marta's father took us there to see it.

Serock

We had planned to lunch in Warsaw but as we didn't find any restaurant we would have liked we decided to continue the drive. We had a lunch break in the city of Serock which is some way from Warsaw to the north.
