Roseau City Centre
What makes the city centre of Roseau so particular is its miniature scale. The centre is not big in area but it has lots of streets and tiny small blocks between them.
Apart from the French Quarter, Roseau Downtown is built in square grid plan. However, there are two of those grids: a smaller and older grid close to the seafront and a somewhat bigger grid behind it.Many of the houses in city centre are new. The old ones are either demolished or destroyed by hurricanes. But there are still many old houses left in the midst of their newer neighbours. And the most amazing part is the big amount of different houses and streetscapes in such a small area.
